Weekly Pregnancy Yoga Classes

Class are suitable for women from 14 weeks right up to baby arriving

I know hearing how other women found the classes can be helpful, especially if you’re feeling a little nervous (don’t be, these classes are super friendly I promise!) So you might like to read some of the many testimonials, reviews and feedback about my Pregnancy Yoga classes on my Facebook page.

Pregnancy Yoga is an amazing practice on its own, and also a brilliant complement to my Hypnobirthing & Birth Preparation courses too. It helps mums-to-be to connect with their baby and their amazing growing and changing pregnant body, strengthens and keeps the body mobile, eases aches and pains, can help you sleep better and you also learn lovely breathing and relaxation techniques too.

There really are so many benefits and you don't need to have practices any yoga before, or to bit 'fit' or 'bendy' or anything!

You can start anytime from 14 weeks (second trimester), and it will benefit you right up until baby is born.

You also get LOTS of amazing extras to support you and use between the classes, as well as the weekly classes themselves.

Also included for to use between classes, these extras:

  • a small video practice library of pregnancy yoga videos to use at home

  • MP3 guided relaxations and MP3 breathing exercises for you to use anytime

  • an amazingly friendly and supportive private Facebook community of local mums and mums-to-be, plus I’m in there to answer any questions and support you too.

  • a discount on my Hypnobirthing & Complete Birth Preparation courses

  • a discount on my amazing online pregnancy course - The Online Pregnancy Yoga Program™

  • a discount on my unique online course - What No-one tells you about your pelvic floor - but you need to know

livestreamed classes

No current live streamed classes. My experience tells me these are simply not the same as in real life classes - humans need to see other humans! So now we are out of covid, classes are back IRL. So happy for this!

The yoga has made the world of different to my pelvic discomfort. On top of that the women I met are so amazing, supportive and have been my lifeline now baby has arrived. I cannot that you enough for the space you create for pregnant women.
— LK

just wanted to email and thank you for your wonderful pregnancy yoga. I had quite a few days of early contractions/twinges leading up to her birth and found myself turning to all the various yoga positions and breathing exercises that you had shown us. I found a way to stay really quite calm in those days and I put so much of that down to this.

It took a long time for me to reach active labour stage despite fairly intense surges from the outset. Again, I found myself really drawing on the breathing/positions that we had looked at during the yoga sessions to help me through this.

I really appreciated the group and the opportunity to share the journey with others going through it too.

The benefits of Pregnancy Yoga:

Pregnancy yoga is a form of exercise recommended by midwives, and has many benefits for your pregnancy body and in preparing you for labour, birth and motherhood:

  • keep the body supple and strong without straining

  • boost energy

  • relieve stress and anxiety

  • promote relaxation and restful sleep

  • provide you with breathing techniques and positions to use during labour and birth

  • relieve common minor pregnancy ailments such as heartburn, swollen joints and constipation

  • help expecting mothers to bond with your unborn baby through breathing and visualisation techniques

  • Breathing exercises to create space in the body, bring calm to mum and to introduce ways in which breathing can facilitate birth.

  • Helps you tune into your body and your baby.

There is more information here about the brilliance of pregnancy yoga in a recent blog post I wrote.

I have all the yoga kit for you here, plenty of lovely yoga mats, blocks, straps, blankets and other yoga props for you to use in your private yoga sessions - so there's no need to bring anything with you. Also free and easy parking right outside, or take the train in 5 minutes form central York too. If you prefer I can also travel  to your home or workplace to work with you, bringing mats, props and everything you may need with me, to help with busy schedules. But there IS an additional charge for this for my travel time.

Cost: Private yoga at my own studio is £45 per 1 hour session. If you book a block of five 1 hour classes that is £200 (saving £25 on individual session prices). Travel to your home or place of work will be at an additional cost, depending on location.
