Riding The Waves Of Motherhood is a new course.

The missing piece to support women as they transition into Motherhood.

It’s a course I have been crafting for a number of years. Together we’ll explore a new way way of understanding Motherhood from a whole woman perspective - acknowledging the often intense physical, emotional, psychological, cultural, and personal changes and influences we experience when we become mothers. So you’ll understand why Motherhood can be do damn draining, and so hard.

You’ll get to meet and connect with other Mothers in a supportive and friendly space. No comparison or judgement here. You’ll learn a range of simple yet deeply effective practical techniques so you can have ways to find moments of calm, grow in resilience and develop your own intuition, and bring yourself to a kinder and less overwhelmed place. This course will help you find yourself, to evolve and grow as you ride the waves of motherhood with grace (and baby sick down your arm, of course!).

Together we’ll celebrate, connect, share and support to help you discover your innate unique Mothering wisdom.

Why it’s different & so important

Because motherhood is hard, and nobody ever really tells you that. But it can be a helluva lot easier, if you have the right approach, knowledge and techniques to get you though. So let me show you.

This is a ‘mothers group’ with real meaning. A unique course that will continue to support you for many years into Motherhood.

There will be weekly sessions together, plus each week I will share a series of resources with you to support you between sessions and after the course. Plus there will be an online private community for discussions and further online ongoing support too.

Each week there is a focus on key areas of motherhood and wellbeing. We’ll look at lived experiences, we’ll look at tools and techniques that can support you in different ways. So you can be more present, less overwhelmed and happier within your skin. There will also be ample time to chat, connect and share deeply about the things that really matter. Or you can simple listen if that’s more your style.

You’ll also get all the resources, the practices and guides emailed to you after each session, accessible from a special online Hub.

This is important - you are important.

We know from recent research commissioned by The Royal Foundation:

  • 90% of people see parental mental health as being critical to a childs development, but that parents do very little to priotitize themselves.

  • Only 10% of parents mentioned taking time to look after their own wellbeing, when asked how they prepared for the arrival of their baby.

  • Worryingly over a third of parents (37%) expect the Covid pandemic to have a negative impact on their long-term mental wellbeing.

This course and space is a supportive haven for you to feel seen, supported and know you are rising stronger as a mother. Doing it together with other mothers. It is open, honest, non-judgemental and welcoming to all space. It’s both learning and exploration, and there will definitely be so many ‘aha’ moments along the way. You can participate as much as you’d like to, or simply listen and learn - whatever feels most comfortable and right for you.

Time to connect

Connecting with others, having a sense of belonging and ‘finding your tribe’ is hugely powerful in Motherhood. Having time to be heard and explore your transition is so important.

In addition there will be an private online community space too, just for the members of the course. Where you’ll be able to reflect, connect and share and be supported between our session and also once weekly sessions end too.

There will be support and guidance from me, as well as the other women in the group. To celebrate the wins, discover the aha moments, and keep you buoyant as you get through the sticky bits that come up as you ride the waves together.

FAQs

Do I bring my baby/child along?

Yes, absolutely - babies come along too.

What about my baby feeding / needing changing / crying / needing a cuddle etc?

All normal baby behaviour is welcome, and all of those things are what all babies just do. It’s no problem at all, and we all expect that to happen! Don’t worry about them being noisy, everyone there knows that’s normal and fine. And you won’t miss anything as you’ll have the resources after each session.

What happens is I miss a session?

You’ll still get the weekly email sent to you, and the practices and techniques, videos and MP3’s for the week via the online Hub too. No partial refunds or transfers can be given for missed sessions.

Refunds

All payments are non refundable. If you pull out of the course whilst in progress I will not be able to offer you any refund.

Is this therapy?

No. This is not therapy, it does not replace therapy or counselling and I am not a therapist. I support parents to make the transition to Motherhood.

I do not recommend that you sign up if you are knowingly experiencing any kind of natal or other trauma that this course might trigger unless checked first with your therapist, GP or counsellor. If you are going through any kind of therapy or counselling then please get in touch to discuss first.

What is your expertise to lead this course?

I support parents to make the transition to Motherhood. I am a trained life coach, a Doula, an experienced antenatal educator, and a postnatal yoga teacher. I have held space for mothers for many years and has taught numerous trainings, programs and workshops I also work to support women after birth mentally and emotionally as an accredited birth debriefing and birth and perinatal trauma practitioner, and a Birth Injury Recovery Practitioner. I am also a mother of two daughters who understands how hard early motherhood is, and what can help. More details about me and all my training and qualifications can be found here. I believe in knowledge, science and research, and also have a nurturing, caring approach.

I update my knowledge constantly with study days, CPD and courses every year, to ensure that my clients have the benefit of the latest research.
