For Modern Mothers is a force for good, with a mission to support, empower and create community.
My passion is working with women as they navigate their journey to and through pregnancy, birth and into motherhood.
With For Modern Mothers I bring together all my expertise in a range of courses, classes, workshops, online programs and through coaching. As an antenatal educator, a Hypnobirthing teacher (accredited by Royal College of Midwives), a Fertility, Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga Teacher, trained Doula, Baby Massage Teacher, Birth & Fertility Coach and an accredited Birth Trauma support professional. My Hypnobirthing & Antenatal Courses are social, guaranteed no BS, and provide everything you need to know to have a calmer, confident and positive birth - however you birth your baby.
Each course is unique and tailored to the requirements of each group, and updated with the latest research and information.
Pregnancy Yoga will help you be prepared physically and mentally for birth. You’ll also learn how to have a more comfortable, connected and relaxed pregnancy too. This is pregnancy yoga for everyone - inclusive, friendly, welcoming and supportive. There is always a strong community aspect to my pregnancy classes and courses, and this is quite honestly priceless.
Mum & Baby Postnatal Yoga is the perfect antidote to the physical and mental stresses of motherhood in the first year. We work both on strengthening your body after pregnancy (including pelvic floor), as well as easing out tension and having time and techniques to relax tired minds too. And with time to chat and connect with other mums too.
I offer specialist support for women trying to conceive. I have specialist Fertility Yoga courses and workshops. I also work individually one to one with women through fertility yoga, relaxation sessions and fertility hypnosis. In addition I offer a more comprehensive support in a complete mind-body approach as a Fertility Coach for both women trying to conceive naturally or those going through IVF. Fertility Support Circles are also offered.

Baby Massage is a most beautiful way to learn the power of loving touch with your baby. Courses run all through the year to learn this lovely skill - that you can use throughout childhood too.
Get fully ready for positive and empowering caesarean birth and postnatal period with my Positive Caesarean Planning Session & Toolkit. Because ALL births can be positive with the right approach and knowledge.
I offer support after any birth, natal or fertility trauma. Through both birth listening and a specialist trauma release process called 3 Step Rewind. As well as support to you as a Birth Injury Recovery Practitioner

This means someone will be able to come to every class/workshop/course I run for free. These places are intended to be used by those who cannot afford to pay right now, but really would like to come and who would really benefit from coming along.

Come and join us for a lovely couple of hours in the company of other lovely local mothers and babies. This is our For Modern Mothers Summer Social. Time to meet, connect and chat with other local new mothers in a super-relaxed space.
There will be yummy food and drinks provided for you. An easy-to-eat-one-handed brunch of pastries, fresh fruit, hot coffee and teas.
There will be an inside space and a lovely garden space too (weather permitting!).
The vibe is chilled, friendly and supportive.
We don't care if you hair is full of dry shampoo, there is baby sick down your back, or you haven't had a shower - everyone is warmly welcomed. Come exactly as you are.
Don't worry if you are new to York, or new to meeting other mothers. I will be there to help with introductions and it's a really relaxed and friendly space.
A live, online workshop where you can learn about how to breastfeed your baby, and make it a more empowering experience.
This workshop is no BS, straight talking, evidence based & reassuring.
It can be easy to feel overwhelmed about how you are going to feed your baby. There's so much everyone wants to tell you about how you *should* do it. There's also loads of myths, and many outdated practices too (have you been hearing "well when you were a baby...." ?). This workshop is to help you to find your way by providing clear, no-judgement, up to date evidence-based information to help you make the right decisions for you and your baby.
These workshops take place every few months, and are FREE to anyone on my Hypnobirthing & Antenatal Courses (group, one to one or refresher courses)
